Acrylic nails?

I have only ever used gel but my daughter has bought me an acrylic set. What is the correct way to use it.Acrylic nails?
The application of gel and acrylic are very similar. It is not the acrylic that damages your nails, it is the application and removal that does.

If you use an acid free primer instead of buffing your natural nail plate, apply the nail tips (don't blend), buff down the hardened acrylic (this is not your own nail so it does no damage). NEVER put under the UV lamp to cure - this will yellow them. Remove by soaking in pure acetone for 20-30 minutes and gently scraping away with an orange stick, you can get away with virtually no damage at all. If you scrub away at your natural nail plate with a buffer, or pick, chew and peel your acrylic enhancements off you are asking for trouble. Alternatively, you can let them grow out.

With careful application you would not tell the difference between acrylic and natural nails.

Anyone who says acrylic alone damages your nails doesn't know what they are talking about.Acrylic nails?
There should be directions depending on witch ones she bought but they use this web signt:

My mom says

';PLEASE DON'T EVER USE ACRYLIC!!!';

she says this because she is a nail technician and sees all these people that come in with acrylic nails that no other place will take off for them. She's not doing them anymore either.. you have to soak your hands in nail polish remover for over an hour (even though on some websites its says 15-45mins, thats bs.)

Just warning you if you already didnt know what a pain they are to take off.
