What is a good way to take off acrylic nails without too much damage to my own real nails?

Every time I get acrylic nails and take them off they end up really thin and ugly. Is there any way to get the least damage as possible? What is a good way to take off acrylic nails without too much damage to my own real nails?
Most of the reason that your nails end up thinner after application of acrylic nails is that the top layers of your nails are buffed off in order for the acrylic to adhere. Once those layers of your natural nail are removed, there is no way of replacing them, because the nail that you see has already been formed. Unfortunately, there is no cure for this except time for your new nail to grow out. To make your nails feel better in the mean time, make sure that you use hand lotion often, after each time you expose your hands to water. You can also use a more intensive cuticle moisturizing cream or oil to really concentrate on moisturizing your nails, which will encourage healthy new growth. What is a good way to take off acrylic nails without too much damage to my own real nails?
try wiggling the nail from the side until it gets loose, then just take it off

if u dont want damage to ur nails, then wait until they come off on their own
I always have hated when that happens. I think that the best way to do it is to go to the nail salon and get them removed or get a different color. You could also take them off your self with Acetone nail remover and it takes a while but it is better than peeling them of (and much less painful) and then take a base coat or a top clear coat of nail polish and it will make your nails thicker

hope this helpz =]
You could either go to a nail salon and pay for them to remove them or you can use nail polish remover WITH acetone to remove them. The nail salon will do the same thing essentially. The acetone destroys the acrylic that keeps the nails on.
use warm acetone
hi there i have calgel nails and to remove them you have to soak cotton wool in acetone and put it over the nail, then cover the nail with tinfoil. the heat helps to speed up the process. do one hand and leave it for about 20 mins. after this the nail should just lift of without destroying your own nails. you could try this for acrylic nails. not sure if it will work but worh a try.
Go to the nail salon to let them do it.
soak them in some nail polish remover that has acetone in it, it may be hard to find because so many dont use it anymore because its a harsh chemical. You can also use warm water but it does not work as well. After you take them off put some lotion on your nails and if they are not too thin you can file the tops.
No lie, the corner of a credit card or gift card... you know those plastic rectangle cards, lol? Yeah, those work good to peel of the acrylic without too much damage.
